Harare, Zimbabwe

Since 2010 NGA has been working with SEN specialist and two Head teachers in Harare, Zimbabwe to look at developing special needs provision in particular autism. In October 2011 Noel was invited by colleagues from Zimbabwe to visit number of schools in Harare to look at provision for young children with learning difficulties and disabilities. Noel met young people and teachers as well as meeting parents of young children with autism as well as special educational needs. Noel and the group have set up a charity called APAE and drafted a constitution. The work has been halted while we look for funding and location.
