NGA was invited in February 2015 by the British Council and the Qatarian Ministry of Education to speak at their Definitely Abel conference This event was in support of people with disabilities in Qatar and to celebrate the work of the many people who had actively promoted disability access and awareness in this country. Furthermore the conference was providing information, advice and ideas from around the globe from a range of experts working in special educational needs and pioneering access and independence for people with disability. The conference covered, education, employment, training, culture and the arts.
NGA presented a paper on autism and challenging behaviours and showing example of teaching and learning in Britain. The context was to promote the development of independence and autonomy for children and young people and show they are definitely able.
